Dahlia Tubers are not a regulated plant in the state of Minnesota, for the 2026 season we can only ship to the following states: CO, CT, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WA, WS, WV. We are working with the state Department of Agriculture for future years on obtaining what will be needed to ship to state carrying different agricultural requirements. Please let us know if you are in a state that is interested in our tubers but requires a certificate. If there is enough interest in our dahila tubers outside of state we will proceed with the additional costs of inspections and obtaining certificates in subsequent seasons, as inspections must take place during the growing season.

Dahlia tubers are very sensitive to the weather conditions in Zone 4b, and shipping will be handled when weather conditions reach temperatures that reduce the chance of tubers freezing during transit. This will help mitigate the risk of rot. Customers must open and inspect tubers within the first 48 hours of arrival. Ship happens...should you discover any broken necks or damages that render the tuber unviable, please send in a photo of your affected tubers, your order number, and the name of the variety to inquiry@goodeblooms.com. We will review and respond as soon as possible.

If your tuber was presprouting and the sprout broke off, not to worry, this will regrow. You can actually try to root that break and may be able to double your plant stock if you give it enough time to grow. We recommend attempting this in a pot if you are on a shorter growing season so you can move it indoors to allow enough time for tuber development.
